Subject to Climate launches SDG Curriculum Guide featuring Global Schools Resources

ree

Subject To Climate is a worldwide initiative providing accessible climate education resources, primarily targeting teachers and schools. Its goal is to increase climate awareness and promote action through free, high-quality, easy-to-use teaching materials. Recently, it has launched the Sustainable Development Goals Curriculum Guide, a comprehensive tool that helps educators teach the 17 SDGs. The guide outlines each goal and provides classroom resources to help students understand global issues and consider how they can make a positive impact.

Among its featured resources, Subject To Climate has included the Global Schools publication: SDG 7 Activities Guide: Renewable Energy and the Energy Transition. This guide is part of the Schools for Goal 7 initiative, a project by Global Schools in collaboration with Siemens Energy, which trains teachers and students on renewable energy and the energy transition through engaging, gamified curricula. The Schools for Goal 7 program offers practical, hands-on learning experiences that focus on renewable energy, climate change, and sustainability, equipping the next generation with the knowledge and skills necessary to build resilient communities. So far, 63 educators from 39 countries have participated in the pilot training program.

Within this program, the SDG 7 Activities Guide is a key resource for educators to explore SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy). It is publicly accessible worldwide and actively used within the schools for the Goal 7 initiative.
