Our mission is to support schools and educators with training, curriculum, and methodologies to integrate sustainable development into education.

Global Schools Advocates Program
Since 2021, Global Schools has trained focal point teachers and school leaders on the core competencies of sustainability via its Advocates Program. These educators have trained an additional ~40,000 teachers via our trainer-of-trainers model; engaged ~400,000 students in school-wide lessons & activities that promote local action to solve sustainable development challenges; and involved ~100,000 community stakeholders and parents in local initiatives. Before-after data collection showed that after the training, teachers were spending more time discussing current events; encouraging involvement in civic engagement activities outside the classroom; and showing students how to apply knowledge towards positive societal contributions.

UN at Your Doorstep Virtual Dialogue Program
UN at Your Doorstep is an initiative that connects today’s global leaders with tomorrow’s changemakers on how to tackle the biggest challenges of our time – from peace and security, inequalities, environmental sustainability, to artificial intelligence. This initiative offers a rare opportunity for young people to engage directly with world leaders and youth activists through the power of virtual exchanges, having students lead global dialogues and progress through an engaging curriculum incorporating systems thinking pedagogy and GIS tools.
