Global Schools To Lead workshop at the 29th AFS Youth AssemblY in NYC

Global Schools is excited to be part of the 29th Session of the AFS Youth Assembly (August 16th-18th, 2024). This global event brings together a network of changemakers, providing opportunities for exchange, education, action, and impact. The Global Schools Education team will facilitate a workshop titled "Future of Education: Leveraging Technology and Innovation," a hands-on experience designed to equip participants with practical skills and knowledge to advocate for Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in their communities.

In this workshop, attendees will delve into the significance of STEM innovation in promoting sustainable education. They will explore how technology can be harnessed to overcome current challenges in STEM education. They will be introduced to inspiring examples of how youth and teachers worldwide have developed innovative STEM activities. Through engaging discussions, we will explore the challenges and opportunities in STEM education. It will also be an opportunity to share the inspiring work of our Global Schools Advocates Program alumni in promoting education for sustainable development through leveraging technology and innovation.

By the end of the session, attendees will gain valuable insights into the role of technology in enhancing Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), learn about the Global Schools Advocates Program and its benefits, and discover additional resources for further learning and collaboration. The workshop will also serve as a gateway to future engagement and learning opportunities, providing participants access to the Global Schools Program and SDSN, and the chance to connect with like-minded individuals committed to leveraging technology for sustainable education.
