Sam Loni

Founder and Senior Advisor

Sam Loni is a Program Director at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) - a research and policy organisation, working under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General. He is also the founder and director of Global Schools, a program that combines research and training to promote education for sustainable development around the world.

Sam is expert in sustainable development and works at the intersection of research and policy. He is currently studying at the University of Oxford and conducting research on modelling and the economics of the net-zero transition.


He has been recognised by Forbes Magazine as one of Asia’s 30-under-30 social entrepreneurs, by the Nobel Peace Prize Forum as a young peacebuilder, and by the NAAEA as an environmental leader. He serves on several international boards and committees, including Mission 4.7, the Lancet COVID19 Commission, the SDSN Leadership Council, the Global Citizen Policy Committee, and the UNLEASH Innovation Labs.
