As a Law Enforcement Intern, he assisted in the implementation of WWF strategy in support of local partners (the government and local communities) in the fight against poaching and illegal wildlife trade by providing technical support, capacity building and empowering local communities to enhance their participation in wildlife protection, conservation and improve their livelihoods through sustainable practices. While working as Project/Human Rights Officer at Girls Corner International, he led projects that built the capacities of over 200 girls on hand skills, craft work, business, and leadership. He was able to sensitize 300 students on reproductive health and rights, healthy habits, menstrual hygiene and facilitated the distribution of materials to school-going vulnerable children. His desire for social change motivated him to engage in local outreach for the integration of the SDGs in schools’ curriculum, empowering students with competences needed to build resilient communities and perform better in school. Through these experiences, Kindong has developed skills in communication, research, advocacy, analysis, project management, human rights, monitoring, data collection, reporting and law enforcement skills. He enjoys cooking, singing, shopping, music, tourism, and travelling.
